Local eSIM setup for iOS.

How to set up a local eSIM for Korea, Vietnam, Japan, and Thailand on your iOS device

1. Open the Camera app and Scan the eSIM QR code.

2. Click Continue button.

3. After scanning, set your eSIM label for easy identification.

4. Choose ‘Travel’ from the default options.

5. Set ‘Travel’ in the Add Cellular Plan Label.

6. Set ‘Primary’ as your Default Line.

7. Set ‘Primary’ as the line to use for iMessage and FaceTime.

8.When installed prior to departure, Set ‘Primary’ as the Cellular Data option.

** It’s normal to see the ‘Activating… or ‘Unable to Activate eSIM’ status after installation if you did it before departure.

** Please do not delete this eSIM..

9. When you arrive at your destination, Set ‘Travel’ on Cellular Data.

10. Turn off ‘Allow cellular switching’ to avoid high roaming charges.

11. Click Continue button.

12. Go to Cellular and Set “Travel” for cellular data.

13. Turn “Travel” ON in the Cellular Plan settings.

14. Restart your phone 3–4 times before using it.
