Local eSIM setup for Android

How to set up a local eSIM for Korea, Vietnam, Japan, and Thailand on your Android device

1. Open the Camera app and Scan the eSIM QR code.

2. Click Add button.

3. When installed prior to departure, Disable the ‘eSIM 1’ mode from the eSIM options.

** It’s normal to see the ‘Activating… or ‘Unable to Activate eSIM’ status after installation if you did it before departure.

** Please do not delete this eSIM.

4. When you arrive at your destination, Enable the ‘eSIM 1’ mode in the eSIM options.

5. Go to Mobile Data and Set ‘eSIM 1’ as Mobile Data options.

6. Disable ‘Data switching’ to avoid high roaming charges.

7. Click the Change button to switch the Mobile Data option.

8. Restart your phone 3–4 times before using it.
