This service is a communication service distinct from data, call, and text usage.

It is an additional service provided by a Korean public certification authority that verifies identity using a mobile phone number, free of charge.

Typically, your real name, Korean mobile phone number, date of birth, and name are required when signing up for Korean websites or purchasing goods from Korean online shopping malls.

Eligibility :

The service is available ONLY to holders of a Korean national ID card (resident registration card, driver’s license) or ARC for foreigners.

–

Foreign passport holders are not eligible for identity verification services.

How to Use

Enter your name, date of birth, and mobile phone number.

Receive a text message with a 6-digit code.

Enter the 6-digit code to confirm the self-authentication process.

Paid numbers are excluded from unlimited local calls.

Using the paid local number will shorten SIM expiry.

–

Paid local numbers : 050-, 060-, 013-, 15xx~,etc.

The following paid local call numbers incur charges as they are excluded from the unlimited call service.
