It is an additional service provided by a Korean public certification authority that verifies identity using a mobile phone number, free of charge.

Typically, your real name, Korean mobile phone number, date of birth, and name are required when signing up for Korean websites or purchasing goods from Korean online shopping malls.

Eligibility :

The service is available ONLY to holders of a Korean national ID card (resident registration card, driver’s license) or ARC for foreigners.

Foreign passport holders are not eligible for identity verification services.
